On a warm, summer evening in July, David and Katy met eyes for the first time at the corner of Main and Liberty in downtown Ann Arbor. Katy was in the company of her Dear friend, Meghan Kelley(David's sister) who was Katy's beloved roommate in Los Angeles for 3 short months before Meghan returned home to Ann Arbor following her graduation from FIDM.
Katy and Dave will forever be indebt to Dave's sister, Meghan, for introducing the pair to one another on Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor in the spring of 2010.
Both hailing from the midwest, Katy and Meghan became fast friends when they lived together while studying and working in Los Angeles. In fact, the girls had so much in common that Meghan thought her brother, Michael, would be the perfect catch for Katy. But when Katy and Meghan both moved back to Ann Arbor, it turned out that Meghan's older brother, Dave, was in fact the man for Katy.
On their first date, Dave took Katy to dinner at Prickly Pear where they both later confessed they were too nervous to eat...
